"A Black Sail" is a mystery/thriller novel by Rich Zahradnik, the third in the Coleridge Taylor series. The story is set in New York City during the 1976 Bicentennial and follows newsman Coleridge Taylor as he investigates a drug war between the Italian Mafia and a Chinese tong after a woman is found with heroin in her body. His investigation becomes increasingly dangerous as he teams up with his new girlfriend, ex-cop Samantha Callahan.
