Save Me a Seat is a book about two fifth-graders, Joe and Ravi, who become unlikely friends as they navigate the challenges of a single school week. Joe is an American boy dealing with his best friends moving away and a learning disability, while Ravi is a recent immigrant from India struggling to adapt to a new culture. Together, they face a common bully, Dillon, and learn to stand up for themselves and each other. The story is told from alternating perspectives, highlighting different viewpoints on the same events.
