Curse of the Divine is the sequel to Ink in the Blood, following Celia as she tries to save her plague doctor, Griffin, from the evil deity Diavala, who has possessed him. To do so, she must seek out Halcyon, the only other person to have survived Diavala's possession, and investigate the strange town of Wisteria, which forces Celia to confront her hatred of ink magic and make a difficult choice between saving Griffin and the truth about Diavala's origins.
