Eventide by Kent Haruf received the Colorado Book Award and was named a Notable Book of the Year by The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. The novel is the sequel to Plainsong, set in the fictional town of Holt, Colorado, and follows multiple characters including two brothers who take in a young woman and a lonely boy who cares for his grandfather while also dealing with a disabled couple's violent relative.
