The Litigators is a John Grisham novel about a small, desperate law firm, Finley & Figg, that takes on a huge class-action lawsuit against a pharmaceutical giant, Varrick Labs, after a burned-out corporate lawyer, David Zinc, joins them. The case, against Varrick's cholesterol drug Krayoxx, promises the firm fame and fortune, but the partners soon discover that a major trial is far more complicated and dangerous than they initially imagined. The book contrasts the shady dealings of Finley & Figg with the integrity of David Zinc, who also gets involved in a separate lead poisoning case involving a Burmese boy.
